Pat Sharp and Sue Burtonwood with Martin Bell (the man in the white suit). They met this former BBC war correspondent and Tatton independent MP on the evening of Thursday 14th April 2016 at High Legh Village Hall. They were the guests of the Egerton group of WI’s. A humanitarian and lovely man, who has been shot at and wounded, but is still here to tell the tale. He now is an Ambassador for UNICEF.
Norah Mosedale, talented in calligraphy, produced a card for Whitley WI to send to our Queen on her 90th Birthday We hope Her Majesty had a very Happy day, and enjoyed opening all her cards.
