EcoTeam Do you think you would enjoy having a good old natter, save yourself some money, and at the same time help do something positive for the environment? No prior knowledge, or energetic work required!! Ecoteams are a very easy, successful and fun way to make simple and practical changes that have a big impact in terms of supporting our environment. Ecoteams are made up of 6-8 people who meet once a month for 4 months. Whitley WI have already run one earlier this year. We are now looking to launch a second one this autumn and it is open to anyone in the village or round about. The first Ecoteam highly recommend the experience. They say – 'We found we got to know one another better, we had a lot of laughs, and ended up saving ourselves money and helping the environment. After 4 months we found we threw away 20% less waste, recycled 33% more, and cut our petrol bills.
